Here at Schletter, we value our customers as more than just business partners. Not only are we interested in the intensive exchange of expertise, but would like to get to know you better personally. Our Biergartenfest is an ideal opportunity to meet and to chat informally in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This year we have organized a particularly special event for our guests: the "Schäffler" will dance their exclusive Coopers` dance, a Bavarian tradition performed only every seven years.
So, after a stimulating day at the trade fair, let us close the evening together in good company, while enjoying great music and some of the culinary delicacies and speciality beers that Bavaria has to offer!

The larger the photovoltaic plant, the more there is to be taken into account when planning construction. Economic awareness is as important as knowledge of legal regulations. In this year’s large-scale PV power plant workshops, Schletter covered the broad scope of topics relating to plant design in a practical and informative way.
Successful planning with new legislation
Competent presenters including Hans Urban, Cedrik Zapfe, Stefan Mittmann and Christian Dürschner addressed questions surrounding large-scale photovoltaic systems, such as the economic efficiency of the PV plants in view of the current renewable energy act. The courses not only covered the planning of open area- and PV plants for industrial roofs, but also the subject of electromobility. Capital investment security in the photovoltaic sector was a focal theme of the investor workshops. Workshops were led by an in-house team of experts from Schletter with additional contributions from external speakers such as Thomas Ullrich, who presented on lightning protection and risk of damage to PV large-scale power plants.
The varied program incorporated themes such as quality standards for solar stock as well as the potential for mass production of electric vehicles. By visiting the Schletter facilities, course participants gained a first-hand insight into the production and logistics behind the most renowned manufacturer of mounting systems in Germany.

price-efficient - robust - steel construction
Following intensive research and with the experience gained with our proven FS system for solar plants in open areas, our design engineers have developed the FS Uno and the FS Duo, two steel systems that meet our high quality standards.
Both the one-support design FS Uno and the two-support design FS Duo are cost-efficient and durable. The girders are strip-galvanised, safeguarding the system long-term against corrosion. The average zinc layer thickness is 80 µm.
FS Uno and FS Duo are available for south-facing modules and also as FS Uno 100 and FS Duo 100 for east-west alignments. The perfectly harmonized system components can be pre-assembled on request, which considerably reduces your mounting effort. Our service includes both a structural analysis of the soil and a structural analysis of the solar plant based on regional data.

AluGrid
The new product series
The AluGrid system stands out due to reduced superimposed loads, little mounting effort and high economic efficiency. Our complete know-how about the reduction of superimposed loads was made use of in the development of these open area systems. The geometry of the AluGrid systems is based on the latest findings in the field of wind dynamics. The basic design allows an elevation angle of about 15 or alternatively 10 degrees.
AluGrid allows the integration of the racks in existing lightning protection systems. And if an expert company or an engineering office specialized in lightning protection is consulted, even an external lightning protection for the solar plant or the building is possible.
The mounting of the systems can be carried out without tools to a large extent. The modules can be fastened easily and conveniently with spring clamps. In order to facilitate the mounting of the system, we have reduced the number of components as far as possible. We grant you a 10-year durability guarantee on this system.

The user-friendly Schletter PV+ application is the perfect tool for the planning of PV mounting systems.
The user-friendly Schletter PV+ application is the perfect tool for the planning of PV mounting systems. Precise and detailed three-dimensional views of complete buildings can be generated, around which the user is able to move freely. A top view is available in 2D. The integrated and extensive module catalogue facilitates the combining of modules and Schletter fastening systems with little effort, taking all structurally relevant dimensions into account. A parts list can be compiled and the respective components ordered online. Drawing up a proposal and ordering components has never been so simple! A free, 20-day test version of the software and an extensive range of training videos are available for reference at www.schletter.de/PV+. A licence for long-term use of the software can be obtained via bestellungen@schletter.de. Omissions in the module catalogue will be rectified in the form of updates. From the dimensioning of a plant through to the online ordering of components, Schletter PV+ offers the ultimate in convenient planning.

Mexican Secretary of the Environment Juan Elvira Quesada inaugurates his country's largest carport solar plant
- The plant produces enough energy per day to serve 418 family homes.
- An annual total of 18t CO emissions will be thus avoided and energy costs frozen for 20 years.
At midday today the largest carport solar plant in Mexico, designed for the production of renewable energies, was inaugurated by the Secretary of the Environment and Natural Resources for Mexico, Juan Rafael Elvira Quesada, at the head office of the National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR) in Zapopan in the state of Jalisco.
Together with the Director General of the Forestry Commission (CONAFOR) Juan Manuel Torres Rojo, the Minister emphasized that, thanks to the huge effect on the environment and the significant visual and social impact created by this PV system for efficient use of solar energy, the Ministry of the Environment will become an icon, through CONAFOR, in the implementation of this technology in Mexico.
“This is a benchmark for other federal and private institutions of our country, that they too begin to commit to the utilization of solar energy through similar initiatives,“ he said.
He highlighted that the energy savings made thanks to this photovoltaic system will be enough to fulfil the average daily requirements of 418 family homes while avoiding potential emissions equating to an annual 18 tons of carbon dioxide. Energy costs will hereby be frozen for the next 20 years.
The new carport solar plant which occupies an area of 1,155 m2 supplements the photovoltaic cells already mounted on two CONAFOR buildings, resulting in a total area of 2,595 m2 and which currently covers 60% of the energy required by the main rooms of the institution.
In a second phase, the CONAFOR will build a new parking deck with an additional 2,000 m2 photovoltaic cells for the generation of solar energy, from which the electric energy requirements for all four buildings of the central office of the CONAFOR will be covered to 100%.
The system for the generation of solar energy incorporates 1,368 crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and 147 inverters and has a unique aluminium design, a technology produced in Germany.
The carport solar plant in Mexico has great future potential for the effective use of green energy, particularly in company head-offices and in state institutions.
The Secretary of the Environment led a workshop with managers of the CONAFOR which included an assessment of 2011 results relating to forestry, soil conservation, fire and the achievement of objectives through a diversity of programs in coordination with the technical areas. The strategies for 2012 were also set and priorities and work schedules defined.
